Carol Vorderman: One from the bottom (updated)
As a school governor with Link governor responsibilities for numeracy, I was interested to read today that Carol Vorderman — whose knowledge of maths extends to the numbers round of Countdown, fronting maths textbooks that are written by someone else, publishing sudoku books and, erm, endorsing a debt consolidation company — will chair a Conservative party taskforce developing policies to improve the teaching of maths.
