Cuts to support packages: stories needed

I know many readers (well, both of you) are interested in social care and how the new coalition government's approach to it, as well as the general cuts agenda, may affect service users and service provision.

A colleague is currently looking for firm evidence that councils are cutting back on support packages, i.e. not just changing eligibility but evidence that the number of hours being offered to individual disabled people is being reduced.

If you find yourself in this position, or know of someone who may be in this position, it would be great if you could make contact with them. He can be emailed at john AT disabilitynewsservice.com or via .

To see John's excellent work covering disability news and issues, take a look at his website, Disability News Service.

(Note: I know John, but not well enough to get any commission from work that goes his way!)
